Re-charger Awards
Starting in 2007, we plan to send a gift package and award to some of our heroes and heroines who have advanced the use of culture for social healing. These will go to artists, founders of arts networks, risk-taking funders, activists, and others playing an important role in helping to build the field. We’ll publicize the awards to the media to further promote the recipients’ work.
The project’s goals are:

to surprise, affirm and delight cultural leaders,

to create publicity for the field, and
-
to build Zing Foundation's relationship to leaders in the field.
What might these gift packages include? Along with a framed "award" from us appreciating their contribution to the world, there would be items of beauty, vision, as well as a few practical goods and services, donated by sponsors. For instance: pro-bono fundraising or marketing coaching, software, classic books on community arts, organic chocolate, dried fruits and nuts; a glass tea pot with tea candle base, world music CDs; a free coaching session; wind chimes.
