Three invitations from the Zing Foundation
At the June 2006 conference on “Art for Social Healing,” held in Boston by the Zing Foundation, over 170 people attended from across Massachusetts. Zing is offering three ways for people to connect to participatory arts for community development and social change. These forums still are just getting off the ground. You are warmly encouraged to take part and make them work for you and others.

Go to SocialHealingArts.org and check out the discussion forum. This could be a place to make all kinds of connections – to fellow artists, researchers, organizers, funders – to people who share a passion for how participatory arts can serve society.
- What makes art like this effective?
- What are the best examples you know?
- How can the field become better known and better funded?
We hope the forum will generate substantive discussion on these and other issues. You can also join national forums on CommunityArts.net.
